This is the only time that I will ever admit publicly that I, Brian Teegarden, have dressed up in drag.

I'll explain.

A few years ago, before our children came along, my wife Sandy and I had a group of friends that were quite active socially. Our Christmas open house party became an event that people talked about and waited for an invitation to. More on that in another blog. Another couple that we got to know threw elaborate Halloween costume parties for a few years. Here's where my only foray into women's clothing came into being.

At the time, Sandy and I were big fans of "The Drew Carey Show" so we decided to dress as the characters Mimi and Drew for this party. Only Sandy went as Drew and I went as Mimi.

For Sandy, we punched out the lenses from some cheap sunglasses to imitate drew's signature specs. A Cleveland Browns' jersey and cap completed her look.

For me it wasn't so simple. To recreate Mimi Bobeck's flamboyant look, I needed a lot of help. It started with a blonde wig I found at a fabric store. Then I bought a garish size-24 moo moo dress from a large lady's catalog, some big ladies' stirrup pants, and a pair of size-11 ladies' flats.

Then came the crowning achievement. A very colorful make up job from the lady that cut my hair, complete wit false eye lashes. If you've never worn them, it is amazing how heavy those things are on your eyes.

My wife and I went across the street to try our costumes out on a neighbor. After her shock of finding out it was us, she couldn't stop laughing. They went on to be very successful outfits that night.

Now that I've told you about my ultimate Halloween costume, tell us about yours on our KIT Facebook page.

And guys, if you've ever dressed up in drag for Halloween, tell us who were trying to look like.
