The annual Gap 2 Gap Relay and Junior Gap 2 Gap are set to take off on June First at the Yakima Greenway. Spokesperson Amanda McKinney says if you have kids get them involved. The Gap 2 Gap activities start early for the racers. the first competitors go out at 7:45 a.m. and continue in waves until 9:30 a.m. Adult Iron and Elite racers will travel the Greenway, the Yakima River, the North Ridge, and the roads of East Valley on the 5-leg course. Adult sport racers travel a slightly shorter 5-leg course that features a rollerblading leg instead of kayaking. Junior racers will complete a course in Sarg Hubbard Park and along the Greenway.
