One Major Weight Loss Goal Achieved, One to Go – Brian’s Blog
Four months after bariatric surgery, reaching 100 pounds lost is not only a physical, but emotional achievement .
That's right. I've lost 100 pounds since Feb. 21. 100 pounds.
Think about what that's the equivalent of:
- 400 cubes of butter.
- 20 bags of sugar
- 4 big boxes of cat litter
- the combined weight of two of my children
Even though I did have surgical assistance (a Lap-Band procedure), 100 pounds is still a big deal. It wasn't cheap, and there have been a few bumps in the road, but I feel that I've really accomplished something. My health is improving, I can keep up with my family more, and am back at the gym getting some exercise. Also, I don't really miss food. Well, maybe a Big Miner Burger now and then.
Her's a then and now photo.
I still have about 50 pounds to go, and I will let you know when I get there. That will be my ultimate goal. That and the Wolf-Gray Seattle Seahawks #12 jersey that I've promised myself. Photo to follow!
