The Los Angeles Rams have announced that they've hired two men as part of its cheerleading squad for next season, becoming the first-ever NFL team to have male cheerleaders.

So when I heard this, I thought, OK, what is my reaction to this and in this PC environment, what SHOULD my reaction be?  The college game have male cheerleaders so perhaps by extension....but this isn't college.

A variety of scenarios raced through my mind but I quickly settled on this.

So What?

So what.  Football isn't football anymore anyway and have more or less stopped watching.  Too many protests, too many activists, too much disrespect, too many spoiled athletes, too much PC, too many brain traumas, just too much!  So, so what.

If I wanted to see classically trained male dancers, I would bypass the stadium and attend the ballet.  ABC News reports that Quinton Peron and Napolean Jinnies, are both classically-trained dancers, who were among the 76 finalists who auditioned for the Rams' cheer team, going through a lengthy and tough audition process. The two will be cheering and dancing as traditional cheerleaders alongside the 38 women.

Rams cheerleader captain Emily Leibert said of the men: "They bring so much energy and there's something so magnetic about their performance, you really can't take your eyes off them."

Really? Sorry football, so what.
