It’s always difficult to keep the popularity numbers up when you are a lame duck president … tougher still if your numbers have been for down some time. But it really must hurt when the man who made you famous loses faith.

The street artist who designed the iconic "Hope" poster for then-Sen. Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign is disappointed in the job he’s done as president. Esquire magazine asked Shepard Fairey if Obama had lived up to his poster, and the response: "Not even close."

tough time, but there have been a lot of things that he's compromised on that I never would have expected. I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought he'd support.  I'm not giving him a pass for not being more courageous, but I do think the entire system needs an overhaul ..."
