President Approves Major Disaster Declaration for SR530 Mudslide

In a news release Wednesday Governor Jay Inslee says President Obama approved the state’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the SR530 landslide. Governor Inslee thanked President Obama for his quick approval which makes a number of programs available to assist individuals, households, and businesses impacted by the SR 530 slide on March 22.

Laugh A Little – When Senators Speak — Dave’s Diary

We all have favorite movies or movie scenes we can watch over and over again with the same level of enjoyment each time.  One of mine is the political parody that features the embarrassing moment in June of 2009 when Senator Barbara Boxer, California Democrat, interrupted a committee hearing to give Army brigadier general Michael Walsh of the Army Corps of Engineers the request to call her “senator”  instead of “ma’am” because she had “worked so hard” to earn the title.
