It seems like every one wants to get close to the Seattle Seahawks third year quarterback. I got as close as anyone could on Monday, and even though it was a fleeting encounter, I have documentation.

I had a chance to attend practice with the Seattle Seahawks at their headquarters in Renton on Monday. Our digital managing editor John Taylor and myself shot some videos, interviewed some players, and took a lot of pictures that you might have seen on newstalkkit.com.

Some of the players, like Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and especially Russell Wilson have limited access for interviews. This is mainly due to the high demand put on their time. Usually they hold a mini press conference after practice, so the media can ask all of their questions at once. Richard Sherman and coach Pete Carroll did just that after Monday's practice.

Russell Wilson on the other hand, was in a hurry on Monday. He was apologetic about not getting to mingle with some of the fans, but he did get close to me.

Really. Here's the proof.

I also had a close encounter with running back Robert Turbin. I can't figure out if he was perturbed with me for filming him signing autographs, or just messing with me.

I think that he was just messing with me. I hope.
