Seattle Mariner Rookie Roenis Elias picked up his first Major League win last night in Texas as the Mariners beat the Rangers 7-1.  The Cuban rookie worked into the 7th inning giving up five hits, one run and struck out 5 in 6 and 2/3 innings.  It was his first win in three starts.

Mike Zunino hit his third home run of the year to give the Mariners a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning and added an RBI single in Seattle's strange six-run outburst that included three Texas Rangers errors and a replay reversal that gave the Mariners a run in their 7-1 victory Monday night.

The Mariners (7-5) take on the Rangers in game two of a four game series tonight in Arlington.  Blake Beaven gets his first start for the Mariners tonight, left-hander Robert Ross goes for the Rangers (6-7).
