Man’s Body Recovered from Yakima River Monday

The body of a 41-year-old man from Union Gap has been found after police say the man jumped into the Yakima River on Monday. The Yakima County Sheriff's Office dive team recovered the body of Kirsten Styer near the Century Landing boat launch. Yakima Police say Styer jumped into the river after an officer tried to contact Styer and a woman who were walking on the Greenway early Monday morning. Authorities say they found and talked to the woman after the incident. The investigation continues Today.
