Yakima Police arrested a 60-year-old man after authorities say he fired shots at a neighbors house and a power transformer Thursday night.
Officers were called at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday to the 2200 block of Summitview Avenue after the man fired the shots from a rifle. The man refused to surrender to police who waited about an hour before SWAT team members were called to the scene. The man eventually put down his gun and was arrested. He's sitting in the Yakima County jail facing charges of malicious mischief and illegally discharging a firearm in city limits.
