Jon Ashton Coming To Yakima For Savor the Valley

It is called Savor The Valley. The food, wine and beer event at the Yakima Convention Center is set for Saturday and is already sold out.

The event is sponsored by the Yakima Herald Republic and Event Coordinator Robin Beckett says it will feature Dash Magazine's Celebrity Chef Jon Ashton who is currently doing a food tour around the United States.

“He hasn’t been out to the West Coast so we are bringing him out to do a cooking show and we decided to build a wine food and beer expo around that cooking show.”

The Savor The Valley event will feature food, wine and beer produced here in the Yakima Valley. Beckett says it is an event that will draw more people into the downtown area this weekend.

The show is set for Saturday at the Yakima Convention Center.
