Many people who initially didn't like Trump report a different conclusion after meeting him in person.  And remember all those stories told by everyday people about how meeting politicians like Bill Clinton made them feel special and like they were the only person in the room. That’s because Slick Willy and others know “the Secret”.

The Secret is that if you really want someone to remember you, make eye contact. Researchers from the University of Paris explain that holding someone's gaze increases memory as well as empathy.

Researchers believe this happens because gazing into someone else's eyes causes us to relate information to the thing we care about most-- ourselves. This in turn makes us act more 'pro-social,' because we care about our own reputation.

The effect was even found to work when study participants looked at a pair of eyes printed on a poster. This finding suggests the 'attention-capturing' effect of direct gaze may be something we all are born with. (Daily Mail)
