Hundreds of Yakima residents spent Tuesday afternoon without power. Pacific power officials say the outage was reported at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. The power was off for more than 2000 people on the west side of the city and that cut the power to traffic lights in the area. Many drivers were surprised at the outage and a crash was reported shortly after the power outage. The two vehicle crash at 56th and Tieton resulted in one car driving through a residential fence. Police didn't give the condition of the drivers. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
