The election is three weeks away, Christmas comes in 68 days but more importantly, your daughter/granddaughter’s June wedding is just eight months away! Let the planning frenzy begin! Fashionista.com has collected the biggest emerging bridal trends from the 2017 spring collection shows.

Here’s what she’s looking at and what you’ll be paying for!  Good Luck!

  • 50 shades of pink: Pastel blues and vivid lilacs did pop up throughout the collections, pink reigned supreme as the non-white bridal color of choice this season.
  • Deep plunging necklines: Sexy open backs are still very much in vogue, but massively plunging necklines are entering the mix. Stock up on your double-sided tape
  • Illusion dresses play with sheer elements like embellished, modesty cutout panels to full-on see-through embroidered tops and dresses, creating the impression that your bedazzled floral pasties are floating above a ballgown skirt. Shorter version --it's using a lot of see-through fabric to look more naked that you actually are.
  • Showstopper trains and veils: Always a classic, this year's trains and veils have a strong vibe of "flowing in the wind." Veils are accented with embroidery, lace, beading and, in some, Swarovski crystals. Romantic trains ranged from a shorter church length to a Royal Wedding-esque cathedral style. Reem Acra went extra creative by offering a metallic embroidered back train that converts into a veil.
Capes have been around for a couple seasons, but this year’s are inspired by superheroes and having a big moment.
  • Bridalwear inspired by Coachella is big this season. A profusion of lace has that hippie vibe looking more like it belongs at the music festival.
  • Modular bridal gowns: Any bride who's struggled with an overly complicated bustle (or braved the bathroom in a poofy dress) knows that wedding gowns can need advanced tactical training and an engineering degree to operate properly. Wedding dress designers heard the cries and started designing for practicality and function. That includes dresses that have convertible or detachable pieces like bows or cascading tulle layers.
