Gotta admit I’m not a big fan of Halloween but I know some people are.  I even know some folks who prefer Halloween over Thanksgiving and Christmas. (no gifts or turkey for you!)

For those costumed creatures of the night we offer this list of alleged Haunted Hotels just waiting for you to check in.  But will you check out…..

Eight Haunted Hotels You Can Actually Stay In!

   8. Omni Shoreham. The original owner's daughter and housekeeper died in the "Ghost Suite," where they still turn off the lights and run through the two-bedroom suite.
7. Hotel Provincial. This New Orleans lodge once served as a hospital for the Confederacy and guests have reported that they've seen soldiers, doctors and even a pool of blood disappear.
6. Logan Inn. This Colonial tavern was built in 1722 and still has some folks lurking around. Room Six is known as "Emily's room," where you can hear her cry at night and her lavender perfume still lingers.
5. The Biltmore. This was the hippest joint in Coral Gables, Florida, back in the 20's, where gangster THOMAS "Fatty" WALSH was killed over a gambling debt and still roams the halls.
4. La Fonda. Weird things happen at this Santa Fe hotel, including numerous spottings of HONORABLE JOHN P. SLOUGH. The Chief Justice of the Territorial Supreme Court was shot in the lobby back in 1867.
3. Crescent Hotel & Spa. Known as "America's Most Haunted Hotel," this spot has been around for over 130 years and was previously a women's college and hospital. Unfortunately, the medical facility was a big sham run by a con man named NORMAN BAKER. Patients checked in because he supposedly had the cure for cancer, but wound up being tortured, instead.
2. The Stanley Hotel. This little spot in Estes Park, Colorado, inspired STEPHEN KING to write "The Shining!" Guests have been reporting paranormal activity for decades and the resort features a ghost tour.
1. The Myrtles Plantation. Legend has it that 12 ghosts roam the plantation, including a lady named "Chloe," who wears a green turban and was a former slave.
