Gun Battle Near Wapato Leads To Two People Injured

Two people are in a Yakima hospital today after a report of a gun battle between two people in separate vehicles near the intersection of Egan lane and North Track Road near Wapato. Yakima County Sheriff's deputies say the shooting was reported at about 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies responded to the Roadrunner Gas Station in Wapato where they found two gunshot victims in the parking lot. A third person ran from the vehicle and could not be found. The victims were taken to a Yakima hospital where they're being treated Today. The victims have been identified only as a 37-year-old female from Selah and and 37-year-old male from Wapato. No arrests were made. The investigation continues Today.
