City officials have released the work schedule for the first week of June as the summer-long grind and overlay project continues.

The city says most of the work so far has been to prepare for the grinding, which will begin on several streets this week. The actual repaving will not occur until two weeks after the grinding is done.

Periodic lane closures will occur between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the following roads:

  • 40th Avenue between Fruitvale Boulevard and Summitview Avenue
  • Lincoln Avenue between 24th and 32nd
  • 24th Avenue between Washington Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard
  • Nob Hill Boulevard between 40th and 48th
  • 16th Avenue between Nob Hill and Englewood Avenue
  • Tieton Drive between 16th and just west of 32nd
  • 4th Avenue between Division Street and Walnut Avenue and between Yakima Avenue and MLK Jr. Blvd
  • Third Avenue between Walnut and D Street
  • Summitview between Yakima Avenue and 16th
  • Yakima Avenue between 12th and 16th

Overnight, the following roads will be completely closed to traffic.

  • 40th Avenue between Fruitvale and Summitview – June 2nd through June 4th
  • Nob Hill between 40th and 48th – June 2nd through June 4th
  • 16th between Nob Hill and Englewood – June 2nd through June 5th
  • Lincoln between 24th and 32nd – June 4th through June 5th
  • 24th between Washington and Nob Hill – June 4th through June 6th
  • 4th between Division and Walnut and between Yakima Ave and MLK, Jr. Blvd – June 3rd through June 5th
  • Summitview between Yakima Ave and 16th – June 5th
  • Yakima Ave between 12th and 16th – June 2nd
