We’re number 4, we’re number 4! A study from U.S. News & World Report along with the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of more than 16-thousand people say Germany is the best country in the world.

The US ranked fourth in the survey, behind Canada and Great Britain.

The countries were ranked on 24 different scales which measured adventure, citizenship, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, movers, openness for business, power and quality of life.
The US ranked first in power and influence. Canada was first for quality of life and Germany for entrepreneurship, but ranked highest overall.

Other countries also had a number one ranking in certain categories, including France for cultural influence and Italy for heritage.
