Found Not Guilty For Attempted Murder

kimatv.com

A 49 year old man accused of trying to murder a 14-year-old girl was found not guilty Thursday by a Yakima judge.

Prosecutors charged Kurt Bonser with trying to kill a 14 year old girl in February of 2010.

It happened after Bonser was charged with raping the girl and getting her pregnant.

Prosecutor’s say Bonser was afraid she would testify against him about the rape charge so he allegedly picked her up in his car and beat her with a rock then tried to run her over.

A neighbor who saw the attack shot Bonser.

Bonser’s attorney says he was, however, convicted of rape last week after DNA results tied him to the girl’s baby.

He will serve one more year for that charge.
