A news release from city hall has a great idea for matching generosity with the backstroke, kindness with freestyle and holiday giving with the australian crawl!  Community members are encouraged to keep in shape and help hungry families during a recreational swim program at the City of Yakima’s Lions Pool, 509 West Pine Street.

Here's how it works: Monday, December 17^th, through Friday, December 21^st, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, each swimmer who brings a non-perishable food item during that time will get to swim for free.
