Firefighters Battle Blaze On Yakima Training Center

Firefighters say the fire is now contained as crews are dousing hot spots to put out the fire. Training Center officials couldn't say if the fire had grown beyond 8,000 acres. No structures were burned and no injuries reported. The cause remains under investigation.

The cause is unknown but a big fire is burning on the Yakima Training Center. The fire was reported Thursday in the southeast area of the center and was last estimated at 8,000 acres. The fire is north of Cold Creek. No structures have burned as firefighters from the Yakima Training Center continue to try and douse the flames.
No injuries have been reported.
