I have my fair share of lower back pain.  I chalk it up to too much basketball when I was younger and too much sitting on the job but either way I was living on Aleve which helped but raised heck with my stomach.  Looks like the real solution might be going to the dogs.  The downward dog that is !

A possible treatment has arrived for people who have chronic pain, but don't want to take a ton of medication. Researchers at the National Centre for Complementary and Integrative Health at the National Institutes of Health reviewed 105 clinical trials in the U.S. and found that people suffering from back pain, osteoarthritis, neck pain, fibromyalgia, and severe headaches and migraine could all be treated with varying degrees of success with acupuncture, yoga and tai chi.

Relaxation techniques and massage therapy also showed promise, but to a slightly lesser degree, researchers said. (Daily Mail)
