A Womans Body Pulled From a Canal in West Yakima

A woman's partially nude body was pulled from the irrigation canal near the Harmon Center near 66th and Summitview in West Yakima.   The woman's has been identified , but police are not releasing her name until next of kin is notified.  Yakima Police Captain Rod Light the woman was in her early 60's and appeared to have lived nearby.  Her partially nude body was discovered this morning near a grate in the canal between the  Center and Summitview.   Light says it's being treated as a suspicious death, but he said it appears to be a drowning.
