A Local Publishing Company Has Purchased 5 More Papers

Yakima Valley Publishing has expanded.  Today it was announced that the company,  which already publishes the Yakima Valley Business Times has bought the Toppenish Review Independent, The Spanish language Viva,  the Yakima Valley Visitors Guide and the Central Valley Shopper and the Yakima Valley Business Journal.   Publisher Bruce Smith hopes to have the Independent Review up and running in the near future, the Viva by the first quarter of next year and the Visitors Guide by the first of next year.  He also says the plan is to merge the Business Journal with his current paper the Business Times.  He's not sure what his company will do with the Central Valley Shopper.
