Police in Ellensburg continue to search for a shooting suspect that left a person dead at a fast food restaurant on Friday. Officers say the shooting was not random.

POLICE BELIEVE THE 17-YEAR-OLD SHOOTER KNEW HIS VICTIM

Authorities are currently searching for a 17-year-old suspect described as a person with facial tattoos including one tattoo of a cross. At the time of the shooting he was wearing a black hooded jacket, jeans and white shoes.

OFFICERS WERE CALLED TO THE RESTAURANT FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Officers were called to the Jack in the Box restaurant at about 12:15 pm Friday where they found a person with gunshot wounds. The man died at a local hospital. The person hasn't been identified.

EVEN STUDENTS AT CWU WERE IMPACTED BY THE SHOOTING

At the time of the shooting a shelter-in-place was activated for students at nearby Central Washington University. It was lifted later Friday afternoon.
They're also asking residents if they see something suspicious to call police and lock doors of homes and vehicles.

Police are actively looking for the suspect and are asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1.
