Video games are big business- really really BIG business. The value of the industry in 2013 was 21-Billion dollars! The appetite for newer, better, more spectacular is never satisfied and for some it truly is an addiction. According to research at Iowa State University about 8.5% of children who play video games in the U.S. are addicted and he has found similar numbers across the world.

Researchers say the increased availability of technology and the spread of broadband internet are key reasons for gaming addiction saying it's really hard to get addicted to drugs if you can't get them.
