See Zonnie Gorman at the Capitol Theatre on March 20th!

She is the daughter of one of the heroes who helped the United States win the battle during World War II, Carl Gorman.

Carl and his fellow troops helped devise the Navajo Code, which used their native language to keep logistic secrets from our country's wartime enemies.

Zonnie has been studying her father's life journey and the history of these Navajo Code Talkers, and is coming to Yakima to share with us what she has learned.

I am a member of the Capitol Theater board and Programming Committee, but the Yakima Town Hall Speaker Series is a separate entity from the board.

The Speaker Series is maintained by local volunteers who joined forces to utilize the events as a unique fundraiser for the theater.

This season's speakers have included Bob Woodard, Dr. Sue Varma, Zonnie Gorman, and the upcoming show featuring United States Olympian and fellow Washingtonian, Apolo Ohno.

Zonnie Gorman will speak at The Capitol Theater on March 20th at 11 a.m. Tickets are sold out, but you can enter to win two (2) free Reserved Seating passes to the event in the contest entry form below!
