Yakima Valley Community College Playmasters will host auditions for Moliére’s comedy "Tartuffe" on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 and Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 3:00pm in Kendall Hall Auditorium. Community members are encouraged to attend, no previous experience necessary. Experienced actors are encouraged to prepare a 1-minute monologue. There will also be the opportunity to audition by reading cold, either from the script, or from material of a similar nature.

Rehearsals for"Tartuffe", which will be co-directed by Michael Kemper and Alicia Bickley, will begin on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 3:00pm in Kendall 127.  Subsequent rehearsals for the production will take place Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:00pm in Kendall Auditorium. It may also be necessary to hold a Saturday afternoon rehearsal once or twice prior to the opening of the show. The performance dates for "Tartuffe" are Thursday, May 16 through Saturday, May 18 at 7:30pm, with a final matinee performance at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 19.  All YVCC students who are cast in the production must enroll in DRMA 115; non-YVCC students must enroll in DRMA 076 (which is a low-fee non-credit course).  YVCC students who participate in Playmasters productions are eligible to receive talent grants.
