With Thanksgiving coming soon and, who knows, maybe you accidentally forgot something on your list or perhaps you had some unexpected guests and need more of something. Though there are several stores who have opted in to close on Thanksgiving, there are a few stores in our area that have decided to stay open to help you with your needs. Here are just a few stores that are open and some that are closed on Thanksgiving.

From People.com.

Stores that are open on Thanksgiving:
Safeway
Walgreens
And various gas stations and mini-marts around the Yakima Valley include 7-Eleven (select locations) and more. Though not as many options they should have a small food aisle that might have a quick something you're looking for like flour or instant potatoes.

And a few other stores that we may not have in Yakima, proper, but if you're outside of town like CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar and Whole Foods. Again, this may change by location.

Stores that will be closed include Best Buy, Carter's, Costco, Home Depot, JCPenny, Kohl's, Lowe's, Michaels, Petco, PetSmart, Target and Walmart.
