You Won’t Believe the New Name of Our Former Bears!

    The baseball team formerly known as the Yakima Bears will now be known as the Hops!  No the team is not moving to Moxee, the Yakima Valley town known as the Hops capital of the United States, the team is now based in Hillsboro, Oregon.  Yesterday the Northwest League team, which was based in Yakima for over 2 decades unvieled it's logo and nickname.   KL Wombacher, the teams General Manager said the name was selected from 400 different names.  The Hops begin Northwest League plan in HIllsboro in June.
