The last time an all-Williams final happened was at Wimbledon in 2009, which was Venus' last major final.
Senior sister Venus is the oldest woman to reach an Australian Open final in the Open era. The "open era" began in 1968 when the Grand Slam tournaments agreed to allow professional players to compete with amateurs.
