Yakima Police Searching For Killer

Yakima Police homicide detectives are working overtime working on three murders committed in this new year. The latest happened Friday night when a single shot injured one woman and killed another. The murder victim has been identified as Anna M. Hargett of Yakima. Yakima Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says it happened in the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue at about 9:40 p.m. Friday night when a male suspect fired the shot that killed the 47-year-old woman and struck a 42-year-old woman in the back. Police are now searching for the suspect. Police haven't released any other details.
