Yakima Police say someone in the community knows exactly who killed 62-year-old Jerene Matta at her home on Dec. 7, 2013.

Capt. Rod Light says Matta was found in her burned out home by firefighters. He tells KIT, "We're just hoping for some tips from the public because we know someone knows what happened. Items stolen from her home had to end up somewhere."

Light is hoping someone can help identify a person caught on surveillance video accessing Matta's bank account just hours after she was found dead or give any information to police that could lead to an arrest.

The Yakima County coroner says Matta suffered blunt force trauma to the head and then died from carbon monoxide poisoning when her house caught fire and burned.

Anyone with information is asked to call police today at 575-6200.
