Yakima Police have identified the victim in Friday's homicide as Jose Duran-Tellez. The 25-year-old was found dead in a bedroom of a home on East Race Street on Friday night. An autopsy found Duran-Tellez died of blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound to the head.
Meanwhile 21-year-old Jesse Lopez-Avalos of Grandview faces a charge of first degree murder in Yakima County Superior Court this week. He's being held in connection with the death of a man found in a car near a home in Sunnyside last Thursday. That man's name hasn't been released and there's no details on how he died.
