Yakima Police-At 9:45 this morning Yakima police officers responded to the 1600 block S. 6th Ave for a reported burglary in progress. While responding to the location, officers spotted the suspect vehicle, a gray BMW, driving away from the scene. The vehicle attempted to elude officers when officers tried to stop the vehicle. The vehicle spun out of control at 3rd Ave and W. Prasch and the 3 suspects fled on foot. All 3 were apprehended a short distance away. At the time this burglary call came out, an SRO was contacting a student who had been the victim of a robbery earlier in the morning near 1000 S. 6th Ave. The student had advised the SRO that he had been walking on 6th Ave north from Nob Hill at 0745 hrs when a gray BMW occupied by 3 males pulled up to him. One of the occupants exited the car, pointed a handgun at the victim, and took personal property from the victim. The victim was uninjured, and walked to school to report the incident.

Following an investigation, the 3 suspects were booked in the YCDOC/DH. Requested charges are robbery 1 and residential burglary.
