Yakima Marine Who Lost His Legs Coming Home Soon

A US Marine from Yakima who lost both his legs in Afghanistan will arrive in the valley next friday night. Susie Mitchel with Operation Thank You Yakima Valley says 30 year Joshua Elliot will arrive at the airport at 5:15 where everyone is invited to welcome him home. This week Elliot is in Colorado with members of the Wounded Warriors learning how to snowboard. Mitchell says Elliot hopes to meet many Yakima residents during two appearances next weekend. On Saturday he'll be at the New Hope Church of Nazarene in Terrace Heights from 1 to 5pm. A special program is planned to start at 1. Then on Sunday Elliot will speak at the Foursquare Church on North 40th Avenue in Yakima.
