Yakima Manhunt Ends: Alaimo Charged with Murder of Heather England
An intensive manhunt is over after the arrest Tuesday of a man wanted for killing his girlfriend at a home near Parker last Friday.
YAKIMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICIALS SAY THEY RECEIVED NUMEROUS TIPS
Yakima County Sheriff's officials say a tip from Yakima County Crime Stoppers found 45-year-old Gianni Philip Alaimo driving a vehicle along I-82. After a short pursuit authorities were able to stop and arrest Alaimo in the area of Front Street and West Yakima Avenue.
ALAIMO IS BEING HELD ON MURDER CHARGES
He is currently in the County Jail, facing charges of aggravated First-Degree Murder and 2nd Degree Assault. He's accused of fatally shooting 37-year-old Heather England last Friday morning at a home in the Parker area. Alaimo is being held in the Yakima County jail.
YAKIMA POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING TWO HOMICIDES REPORTED IN AUGUST
Yakima Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a 30-year-old man on Friday, August 23. Officers arrested a 33-year-old man on an arrest warrant for the fatal shooting of Tolerance Jackson in the area of North 18th Avenue and Willow Street. Police haven't released a motive in the crime but they say they don't believe the shooting was gang related. The suspect was arrested early Thursday at a home in Yakima. The man is facing a charge of Second-Degree Murder. He's being held in the Yakima County jail.
POLICE ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR A MURDER SUSPECT FROM AUGUST 30
Police are still searching for a suspect or suspects in another murder reported Friday, August 30. 37-year-old Mario Rique Giles was killed in a gang related shooting in the area of North Sixth and East F streets. He died at the scene of the shooting.
