Hundreds of people grabbed big coats and scarves and enjoyed a brisk night Sunday watching the annual Downtown Yakima Christmas Parade 2017.  The parade started at 6th Avenue and Yakima Avenue and ended at the Millennium Plaza where everyone enjoyed the lighting of the City of Yakima Christmas tree.

More than 50 entries were a part of the parade as each vehicle and even dogs were covered with colored lights. Companies from throughout the valley were involved from Coca Cola to Burrows Tractor and many others. Some make the event an annual tradition complete with tailgating that included food and drinks. And in the background the Larson Building was lit with traditional holiday colors of green and red.
