A Yakima pediatric dentist has co-authored a new textbook for dentists giving them tips on how to work with children who have special health care needs. Dr. Jessica (DeBord) Webb, pediatric dentist at Children’s Village in Yakima, and Travis Nelson (chair of pediatric dentistry at UW) have written the book titled “Dental Care for Children with Special Needs: A Clinical Guide.”
The textbook gives dentists recommendations and approaches that according to a news release will "enable clinicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities."
