Will this put the “welcoming city” conversation to rest?  Probably not,  but shouldn’t it?

A new poll conducted by Harvard university and the Harris company for the Hill-dot-com found “that 80 percent of voters say local authorities should have to comply with the law by reporting to federal agents the illegal immigrants they come into contact with.”  80 percent. Not 50/50. 80 percent.  Liberal enclaves?  Sure they’re cool with sanctuary cities, even enchanted by the concept of being the romantic rebel standing against the oppressive federal government.  But this new poll says that for people living everywhere else, a little law and order is in order.

Less than half are on board with a wall but 77% are in favor of reworking the country’s immigration laws and that’s with a liberal majority of survey respondents. 39% were Democrats while just 30% were Republicans.

As they say on the Family Feud – SURVEY SAYS- American overwhelmingly OPPOSE sanctuary cities.

City Council, time to end the debate now.
