Yakima Again Seeks All-America City Designation [AUDIO]

After being a finalist in 2014 and not bringing home the award, Yakima is in the running to be named a 2015 All-America city.

Yakima is again one of 16 finalist cities that will meet in Denver, Colorado this summer to make a presentation to the national Civic League All-America City organization. Each city will make a presentation about three programs that exist in their community that are striving to make things better for its residents.

Local committee member Joe Mann was a recent guest on Newstalk KIT and talked about being a finalist again this year, what's involved in the competition, and the three programs that Yakima will highlight in its presentation.
