Work Closes Portion of Powerhouse Road

Yakima city crews are busy with a storm water maintenance project that could impact your commute this week. The work is happening on a section of Powerhouse Road on Tuesday, January 14th through Thursday, January 16th.

The crews are busy on a section of Powerhouse between 24th Avenue and 28th Avenue. That section will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from January 14 to 16. A news release says "drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur. Drivers should use alternate routes until the project is completed.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible.
