WENATCHEE (AP) — Officials are telling residents in Wenatchee neighborhoods to prepare to evacuate in case a wildfire comes closer.

Chelan County Emergency Management tells KIRO station that the fire was burning at about 10 acres near Horse Lake Road on Sunday.

Authorities say residents nearby should be ready to leave at a moment's notice.

Firefighters are battling winds of about 7 mph. Additional crews are being called in.
