Wild Parties, Drugs Sex and Students Police Want Answers
The Yakima County Sheriff's office is searching for information and people to speak with concerning a Toppenish High School Principal as well as an English teacher who authorities say may have sold drugs and alcohol to students in the Toppenish School District. Many questions are still unanswered in the investigation and so far no charges have been filed in the case.
BOTH JOHN AND BERTHA CERNA REMAIN ON PAID LEAVE
Detectives from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office say they're looking into all allegations including "underage students being at parties hosted by John and Bertha Cerna where students may have been provided alcohol, drugs, and sexual encounters."
Both John and Bertha Cerna remain on paid administrative leave as the investigation continues.
DETECTIVES WANT TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE WHO ATTENDED A PARTY
Detectives are looking for anyone who may have attended any of the parties no matter the time frame. In other words it could have been years ago that you attended a party. That's okay, authorities say they still want to speak with you. A post on the Yakima County Sheriff's Office Facebook page says "our interest is in obtaining the truth in the allegations to see if criminal charges are appropriate for the Cerna’s.

Authorities say if you attended such a party detectives simply want to speak with you. They say no one offering information will be charged with a crime.
