White Swan Woman Killed In Crash With Semi-Truck

A 41-year-old woman from White Swan was killed and a 3-year-old child was injured in a crash in the 3800 block of Harrah Road on Wednesday. Yakima County Sheriff's deputies say the driver of a semi truck was backing into a driveway in that area when a northbound vehicle crashed into the side of the truck. The vehicle driver, identified as 41-year-old Larita Jaramillo died at the scene of the crash. She was wearing a seat belt. But a 3-year-old in the car who was not in a child seat was ejected. The child was taken to a Yakima hospital with minor injuries. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle simply didn't see the semi truck backing into a driveway at the time of the crash reported at about 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
