Wapato Working On An Out Of This World Robot Competition

The future is robots and the future is here. This year’s Washington FIRST Robotics Competition takes place Friday & Saturday March 14th & 15th in the Yakima Sundome.

Competition starts at 11:00 a.m. on Friday and lasts throughout the day.  The Saturday competition gets underway at 9:00 a.m. .

Wapato High School students along with "Sparky the robot" will again be among those competing   The students have been putting in countless hours after school building and fine tuning their robot for this year’s game titled “Destination: Deep Space”.

The Wapato High School team has been building robots and competing in the FIRST Robotics Competitions for 10-years and is still one of only a few teams from the region building robots and competing.
