Wapato Man Dies in Stabbing At Party

A 27 year old man is dead and deputies with the County Sheriff's office are searching for a killer this morning. Detectives say Javier Garcia Jr. of Wapato was at a party in the 200 block of W. Elizabeth Street in Wapato last night when he started fighting with another person in the street near the party. When police arrived they found Garcia in the street suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to a Yakima hospital where he died. No one at the party could identify the suspect.
