Firefighters from Yakima County Fire District #5 will be at "Summer Jam", the White Swan National Night Out on Wednesday August 10th at 5:30pm. The event

promotes crime prevention, safety, and public health by encouraging the community to unite with local resources. Yakima County Fire District 5 will at the event to encourage citizens to become active in their community by serving as volunteer firefighters. Being a volunteer firefighter is a fun and exciting way for people to help their community and help provide crucial emergency services, such as the White Swan Fire last February. Firefighters will be available during the event to answer any questions about the process and requirements of becoming a firefighter.
