The Yakima Police Department has identified the victims of Thursday's gang related shooting. The department news release says they are 18-year-old Ruben Marin who was shot in the torso, and 21-year-old Jeremiah Ledesma-Morales who was shot in the hip. "Both men were transported to area hospitals and remain hospitalized at this time.

The men said a white sedan pulled up on them and that a passenger wearing blue shot them.

The ensuing investigation revealed the victims and some other males in a vehicle had an altercation and shots were exchanged between the groups.

A witness led officers to a handgun hidden in the alley. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) arrived and assisted with the scene.

YPD’s Major Crimes Unit and the Gang Unit are working the case and currently following up on suspect leads.

No arrests have been made at this time."
