Yakima city crews will be working on a tree removal project this week that will impact traffic on a section of 11th Avenue. The work happens Tuesday, November 12 through Friday, November 22.
During the project the 1700 block of South 11th Avenue will be closed to traffic. Work is expected to begin at 7:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. each day of the project.
Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage.
A news release says "access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible.

Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies."
